You want good shoes that help keep your feet dry. I don't think it matters what time of year it it. They should have enough cushioning to absord the shock to keep from injuring your body. The best advice would be to try on different shoes from a running shoe store. Don't go to the mall, or payless. Get fitted for running shoes if your serious about running. They will look at your arch, how much you weigh, how you walk. Then they will be able to get you into the right shoe for you.

I'm not sure where you live so I can't recommend a good store for you. If you live in California, here's a good store: http://www.roadrunnersports.com/
Reply:Thank you for the answer, my mom is going to take me to get my foot fitted soon =) Report It

Reply:whatev u do...dont get sketchers!
Reply:Nike CrossTrainers....Shocks, help take the pressure off your foot
Reply:Any kind not made by a child in a sweat shop.
Reply:Nike and good running shoes are contradiction in terms.

Nike definitely chooses style over substance. Shox are notorious for causing ankle problems due to the elevated heel.

I would suggest going to a specialty running store and being fitted by someone there based on alignment, gait etc.

I am an avid distance runner who competes at a pretty high level and I can't remember seeing a pair of Nikes on someone who knows better.
Reply:Hmmm. Tough one i'd have to say loafers.
