Best Brand of Running Shoes?

I%26#039;ve been trying to research the best brand of shoes for running my first half-marathon. I%26#039;ve been training in New Balance, but I%26#039;m going to need to replace them soon. Any recommendations?

Best Brand of Running Shoes?
BEST BRAND??

I am embarrassed to say that I have over 73 pairs of running shoes. I run competitively in Chicago. Nike has come a long way in terms of quality (lasting long) If you have normal feet and just want to run distances of 10k and up then you would love the Air zoom elite-Equalon or the Vomero. No matter what shoe or brand you choose remember this!! MORE PADDING ISN%26#039;T BETTER!! Go for the lightest no-frills shoe. When you hear about somebody %26quot;aching%26quot; after a run or race..look at their shoes!! The more padding is a marketing ploy the companies use to make you believe that your knees and legs are going to be pampered..when in fact what prevents your feet from striking the ground naturally and efficient (which lessens impact and after-pain) is all that control crap! I run sub 16 5k%26#039;s sub 1:20 half marathons and didn%26#039;t start achieving these times prior to ridding my arsenal of these types of shoes.
Reply:Id say Asics. They cost about 80 bucks though but my friend has a bunch of them and shes number one 8th grade girl runner in the state so far lol
Reply:Nike
Reply:I think you need to try out different brands to find your favorite. Many runners are crazy about Nike Air - I find them very hard and uncomfortable. I love my Asics Kayano.
Reply:personally adidas work for me
Reply:I find Asics make very good running shoes, they offer me very good support
