Does anyone know of some good running shoes?

I like to run/walk quite often, and the shoes I currently have are wearing out, I think they might be making my calves hurt. I need some nice running shoes that are lightweight, but still have good support for my high arch. I also like shoes that are a little softer. I love the ones I have now, but they%26#039;re worn out. If anyone knows some shoes that fit this description please let me know :)

i run cross country and track and many girls on my team wear the brand brooks. They have many types of shoes that can be fit to your foot, i find them to be quite comfortable

Reply:A lot of running shoes are good shoes. Go to a running shoe store. They will have shoes for running and walking. They have shoes for high, low, or no arch and varying amount of cushioning. They will even check your feet and find the right shoe for you. Take a walk on a treadmill to see which shoe feels the best for you.

Nike, Asics, New Balance, Saucony, Brooks, Mizuno, Addidas are all good, but the best are the ones that really work for you.
Reply:I am partial to Nike and love the Nike Shox series. The TL3%26#039;s are a little slick on the bottom if you run on concrete in my opinion. You ought to change your running shoes every 6 months. They are like tires and you have to rotate them.
Reply:ASICS!!! i ran a 5:12min mile in them!! :]]]
Reply:It all depends on you, cause everybody has a different foot. What feels good for someone else might not fot you. Go to a running store. The ppl there are runners and the will find you a perfect fit.
Reply:Don%26#039;t get Nike%26#039;s! They fall apart quickly. I say Asics or Brooks. I have asics and they%26#039;ve lasted a whole year through XC. Trust me, if a pair of shoes can survive a year of my school%26#039;s XC, then that%26#039;s a pretty darn strong shoe! Oh, Asics and Brooks are both very light shoes. My Ascis do a fantastic job at supporting my arch!
Reply:expect to cost from 70-90 dollar range, anything more is too much

Asics work the best for me
