What kind of running shoes should I buy?

My ankles are slightly pronated (they curve inwards) and tend to get sore after I exercise. Should I buy cushioned, stabilized, or lightweight, etc. running shoes?

What kind of running shoes should I buy?
I don%26#039;t know where you live, but where I live in Southern California, their are two shoe shops highly esteemed in my opinon: Fleet Feet, and A Snail%26#039;s Pace. I suggest looking those stores up online and see if there are any locations near you. Anyways, they do a rigorous examination of your shoe, and then they choose the shoe they think is the best for you, you run around in them for 5-10 minutes, if you like them buy them, if you don%26#039;t they pick another one. Usually they know which shoe is best for you. You might also want to do some research online and see if any shoes are specifically made for your case, because I know they make shoes with different support levels, and even shoes for flat feet. Also, before you buy them, make sure you run in them for a good 10 minutes around the store, walking up and down the aisle won%26#039;t tell you whether they will hurt after a while or not. Hope this helps!
Reply:asics are nice for running, and they last
Reply:asics are really good. I have pronated feet too, and I love asics. I would suggest going to a specialty running store to get fitted correctly.
Reply:As one of the other posters mentioned, you should go to a running shoe store and have them help you. From hat you are saying you may want to get some motion control shoes (one example is the Brooks Addiction). From personal experience the motion control shoes do help with ankle problems.
Reply:if I were you, i would buy Addias because, from experience, it is one of the best
