Your favored brand of running shoes and why?

What is the best brand of running shoes and why? I had a pair of Nike%26#039;s and they were good. Has anyone tried Northface? I%26#039;ve heard good stuff about them. Did you like them?

I%26#039;m just trying to decide on what to get. I run cross country. .and our average meets are about 3 miles on all kinds of terrain (grass, pavement, gravel, dirt). Anyone got any suggestions for what i should buy?

Asics all the way! They are just more comfortable and reliable than any other shoe i%26#039;ve had. Give %26#039;em a try.
Reply:I love asics and i think they are awesome. If u have a narrow foot try asics if not u could try new balance. U should try finding a sports store where they look at ur pace wen u run and they can find a shoe that would work with ur form. Jus make sure ur shoe has cushion and bounce : )

Good Luck!
Reply:I have had all types of different brands, and I%26#039;m not particularly loyal to one brand since they all of have their faults and advantages. I would recommend going to a specialty running store, and running around the shop or on a treadmill to get a good feel for your shoes. Ask the people who work at the store for recommendations, they usually know what they are talking about.

What works for someone else, might not work for you, just bear that in mind. Good luck, normally when I try on a pair of running shoes, they speak to me. You%26#039;ll know when you have the right pair.
Reply:I usually run in either Adidas or Asics. All major brands make good shoes so what fits your foot and feels good it what is best for you.

Go to a running shoe store and try on different shoes, get one you like, that is the best shoe.
