I like New Balance and Asics but both are pretty expensive
I have Nike%26#039;s now and I hate them.
What running shoes do you prefer?
Open to allll suggestions!
Good running shoes?
I agree with the advice on going to a running-specific store to be put through a gait analysis if you are really looking for the best shoe fit for your foot. I am a certified athletic trainer with a degree in biomechanics, and this is exactly what I do. Customers ask me all the time, %26quot;What is the best shoe you have?%26quot; I can%26#039;t really answer that question, because we carry a lot of great shoes, but there are some that can be totally wrong for your particular foot. The real question should be, %26quot;What type of shoe would work for me personally?%26quot;
There are a lot of factors that go into choosing the correct shoe for you, including past/present injuries, orthotics use, individual mechanics, etc. Make sure you go somewhere that is willing to do an evaluation to help you decide between a cushion, stability or motion control shoe.
Here is an article (linked below) that I recently wrote that describes most of the steps that I go through with the customers at my store. This way you will have a reference of what to look for (and ask about) when you are looking for a good running store. Good luck!
Reply:I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren%26#039;t necssarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable.
Reply:I like the New Balance. They might not do an awful lot of runners but what they do is excellent quality
Reply:Well it all depends what type of runing you do. I usually run distance and am in love with my Brooks. They are super comfortable and really good. Most likely if I were you I would go to a running store and ask them to help you find a shoe which you like.
Reply:New balance
Nikes are awful I hate them they gave me shin splints
Reply:asics and brookss are very good go to the store and see what fits you best
Reply:well..........i love Pumas...cause they are sooooooo comfortable but i dont think they are running shoes.........some of them are only $50.
Reply:I have Fila running shoes. They are very comfy for running for me. Nike is good for tennis shoes :)
Reply:Brooks are absolutely fabulous! They make different kinds for different types of feet, and I am absolutely thrilled with the pair I have. They have really hard arches because I guess I over-pronate (feet roll inward on arch) when I run. Otherwise, go to a specialized running store, and have one of their trained workers fit you into a great pair of shoes, they really know what they are doing!
Good luck
Reply:I like Mizunos best.
As for cost, you get what you pay for. Cheap is cheap.
Reply:Depends what running you do really, i prefer track, i have Nike Monsterfly%26#039;s and Nike Maxcat%26#039;s. I also have asics trainers which i use in the gym, i find them well comfortable and supportive.
