Where to buy running shoes?

What is the best place to buy running shoes? And what do I look for when buying shoes? Are there any good chain stores? Otherwise I live in the Twin Cities (Minnesota)

Where to buy running shoes?
Under no circumstances should you try to buy running shoes at a regular sporting goods store. It will be well worth your time, effort, and money to go to an actual running store and get fitted for shoes. Take a pair of your regular sneakers with you so that they can examine your wear patterns. See the link below for running stores in Minnesota. Looks like there are several in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Getting fitted properly for running shoes will drastically reduce your risk of injury.

Good luck!

Reply:Look for local running stores. I looked up your town and found a local marathon, which is a magnet for running shoe dealers.

Here%26#039;s one I have heard of before:

Most running stores have people who run a lot and can help see what kind of runner you are so you can get the right shoe. For example, are you a neutral foot runner? Or do you overpronate? People at Target won%26#039;t have a clue, and at most big-box sports stores you would be lucky to find a knowledgeable runner.

Also, they will watch you run to see if you have a funny gait or favor a foot. Bottom line, the shoes tend to cost like 5 bucks more; best deal around.
Reply:well, i think you should buy running shoes from stores like Reebok, or Adidas. usually brand shoes are the best. make sure it feels comfortable; not too tight, not too loose and make sure the sole is flexible. hope this helps:)
