How to find the right running shoes?
Just try some on and buy something that is comfortable and fits well. The wetting the foot thing isn%26#039;t for size, it%26#039;s to see whether you have high or low arches. People with high arches usually wear cushioned shoes, people with medium arches stability shoes and low arches motion control shoes. You can also just look at your foot to see what kind of arch you have. The best way to know your size is to measure your foot at the shoe store.
Reply:try wetting your foot and putting you foot on cement this method works a lot better
Reply:many say evening times are best times to know your foot size as feet expand after days work.. so go to any store near by in the evenings and try some running shoes and find out your size.
Reply:Running shoes are an investment. It%26#039;s SO important to have the right ones or else you will find yourself having issues with your feet, knees, back, etc...and that%26#039;s no fun! Here are my tips:

1- Find a non-chain athletic shoe store. Most larger cities have such places that specialize in running shoes. They will give you the highest quality care and attention.

2- Have your feet measured. Both width and length count. Know your size and that will help you find the right fit.

3- Know what you%26#039;re looking for. If you are a serious runner who competes in marathons or if you are only a recreational runner, know your average distance per week and distance/time per run. That will help the salesperson in helping find your shoe.

4- Understand your foot. If you are an overpronator or underpronator, if you have high or low arches, if you have a narrow heel...those are all important issues that can have an impact on the shoe you select.

5- Try on, try on, try on! If it takes you two hours to choose a shoe, so be it! Try on both shoes and as many shoes as necessary. Bounce in them, do some high knees, run in place, walk around the store and test those babies out. Keep in mind that there shouldn%26#039;t be a %26quot;breaking in%26quot; period for the shoes. If they don%26#039;t feel comfortable at the store, they won%26#039;t get any better at home. Make sure they are cozy.

6- Avoid the %26quot;add-ons%26quot;. I hate it when salespeople try to push gel heels, sport insoles and so on. The shoes should fit comfortably without all of that stuff. If the shoes are good, you can *consider* adding extras, but they shouldn%26#039;t be necessary to %26quot;make%26quot; the shoe for you.

I think that%26#039;s about all. I hope that helpls...I love going sneaker shopping every 6 months! :-)
Reply:Go to a running store and ask them if they can fit you for a shoe. Usually they will tell you if your foot needs more padding for stability or something like that.
