What kind of running shoes should i get?

i just started a jogging routine. nothing all that hard, yet, just a short distance every other day on a paved trail. i need to get some new shoes, and i wondered what brand has the best running shoe that is not super-expensive, maybe between 50-75 dollars or so.

What kind of running shoes should i get?
run in your bare feet, cheep and natural :)
Reply:ASICS
Reply:saucony are the best running shoe I used to run a shoe store and I would recommend that brand and I always a repeat customers coming back to get more pairs. they might run a little more than you want to spend but well worth it. hope that helps!!!!
Reply:the kind that fit your feet
Reply:New Balance.

Lot%26#039;s of choices %26amp; Reasonable Prices.
Reply:If you live in Florida (with alligators) just get a pair that will allow you to run faster than the partner you are jogging with. Remember, you don%26#039;t have to be able to out run an alligator, just be faster than whoever you are with:-)
Reply:Go to a running store and try on different shoes. The major brands all make good shoes so it depends on what fits your feet and what you like. All people can not wear the same shoe.
Reply:I say get New Balance shoes. They are not only comfortable, but at reasonable prices as well. I bought myself Nike shoes, over $115.00, and I must say that my $59.00 New Balance perform better, and are more comfy. I know you just started, but do research and try them all on. Nike%26#039;s run narrow in their sizes, where New Balance and Asics are wider so your toes aren%26#039;t so closed in. Short distance or not, You have to feel great right?
Reply:Okay, first of all everyone%26#039;s foot is different. So, what is good for some of these folks may be different for you. I can not stress enough to go to a special running store and get properly fitted for your running shoes. It%26#039;s free and extremely helpful. They tell you your arch, your cushion and your width. Then they will put you in 2 or 3 different shoes to see which one feels the best to you. You can take that information with you for when you are ready to purchase your shoes. Please get fitted first. It makes all the difference in the world. And change them out every 500 miles even if they don%26#039;t look worn out.
Reply:im not into running but i would try and get some that absorbs the shock because i have herd it can damage your knees and ankles running on hard ground
Reply:Get Nike Air Rival, they are really comfy bbut don%26#039;t sacrifice speed to be comfy. Im not sure exactly how much they were but they weren%26#039;t more than 70 dollars i dont think.
Reply:If you are serious about taking on jogging as a workout routine, then you should seek out a local running store, meaning a store that actually specializes in shoes and apparel for runners and joggers. There, they have people who will watch/evaluate you run, and recommend a shoe based on your body style and running style.

If you don%26#039;t want to go through all that, Nike seems to be the best %26quot;bang for your buck%26quot;, just make sure the shoes you buy fit your normal shoe choice, as far as size, and width.

Happy running!
Reply:Every runner is going to have their own preference as far as a running shoe. It%26#039;s really hard to pinpoint a shoe that%26#039;s good for everyone. Some people that replied to your question suggested Nike, personally I would rather %26quot;run barefoot%26quot; than run in Nike b/c they kill my feet. I prefer New Balance, but that%26#039;s just me. You may like Asics (sp?). When you go to the shoe store, tell the sales person the price range you are in. They will work with you within the price range you tell them.

Please! Before you buy the shoes, try running around the store in them. You will get a better idea of how the shoes are going to feel on your feet when you actually run. Standing there and wiggling your toes and bouncing won%26#039;t do you any good. You%26#039;ll get out on the trail and realize that you just wasted your hard earned money on shoes that rip your feet up or aren%26#039;t comfy.

Also, along that line, check out some running shoe specialty stores in your area. They can help you out much better than Sports Authority (they%26#039;re the WORST!). Running specialty shops really know they%26#039;re stuff!
