i am lifting weights, and running almost everyday and i need a new pair of shoes, but i dont know what type to get. i dont want running shoes because they feel funny when i am lifting so what kind should i get.
i only tried on 1 pair of running shoes but if there are different types then i will try them. the one%26#039;s i tried were nike plus.
What shoes should i wear when lifting weights and running?
i would never run without having shoes specifically for running. go to your local running shoe store and have them fit you for a running shoe that matches the way you run and the type of foot you have and on how many miles you are running.
then with weight lifting wearing any shoe that will support your feel should be good. so i would just get a good cross training shoe that is comfortable to you.
since running shoes aren%26#039;t comfortable to you while weight lifting your best bet is to get two separate shoes.
hope this helps :)
Reply:Have you considered getting two pairs of shoes? One for lifting and the other pair for running. If not, check it out, since different styles of running demand different styles of shoes the best thing you can do is go down a Running Lab. In fact there%26#039;s a place by that name; %26quot;Running Lab.%26quot;
I%26#039;ve personally used the Running Lab, along with my spouse and many others, they are FANTASTIC! And they have all kinds of different Brands of shoes. From Nike to New Balance. =)
They are GREAT! My spouse has ran a marathon and we are training once again for another one coming up in May. We always go to the running lab. Oh...and the shoes, are sold at a great price too.
They will have you take off your shoes, watch you walk, and even take an imprint of your foot. After doing so, they will spend a few minutes analyzing everything. They will ask you a few questions about your running style and your level of running.
Once they have finished they will direct you to a wall of shoes, that has ALL different brands of shoes on it and say something like; %26quot;These are what we recommend for you based on your foot%26#039;s shape, the way you run, where your foot actually impacts the ground and the width of slimness of your feet.
After they show you the selection, try a few pairs on, take them for a %26quot;test run%26quot; around the block and once you%26#039;ve found a pair that you like, then get them.
Hope this helps...oh, the shoes that I picked out ended up being about $80 or so.
Good luck. =)
Reply:Running shoes but make sure they%26#039;re light weight.
Unless you have a problem with your foot then it shouldn%26#039;t matter what shoes you where when lifting weights.
